ZPreview is distributed as portable ZIP archives.

Choose one of the two release variants below, extract it to a folder, then run ZPreview.exe.

Which Variant Should I Use?

Framework-dependent (fdd)

Use this if you already have the .NET 10 Desktop Runtime (x64) installed.

• Smaller download size
• Faster upload and distribution
• Requires .NET runtime on the target machine

If the runtime is missing, Windows will show a .NET runtime error when starting ZPreview.exe.

Self-contained (sc)

Use this if you want the highest chance that it runs immediately on any Windows x64 machine.

• No separate .NET runtime installation required
• Larger download size
• Recommended for non-technical end users

Install Steps

1. Download one ZIP variant.
2. Extract all files to a folder you can write to.
3. Run ZPreview.exe.
4. Optional: create a shortcut to ZPreview.exe.

Notes

• Both variants target Windows x64 (win-x64).
• Keep all extracted files together in the same folder.
• Do not run directly from inside the ZIP file.
